DUA is an RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Chartered Practice and as such offers all the services one would expect of an architect. Hence it undertakes feasibility studies, develops outline proposals, produces sketch and detail designs, prepares and submits proposals for statutory approvals, carries out tender action, sets up and administers building contracts through to completion. In addition to these standard services, it has an established reputation for following : • dimensional surveys • projects for those with disabilities • accessiblity issues • planning supervision DUA regularly works with other professionals such as structural engineers, landscape architects, planning consultants, services engineers and graphic designers. Since its inception in 1988, it has provided an architectural service on a wide range of building types which have included those in the agricultural, commercial, community, educational, health, recreational and residential sectors. It therefore has a large and varied portfolio with numerous clients who are happy to provide references. Being a relatively small practice offering a very personal service, a great deal of its work is of a residential nature.
